Last week, our team exhibited at Siggraph 2012 in Los Angeles. Siggraph welcomed 21,212 artists, research scientists, gaming experts and developers, filmmakers, students, and academics from 83 countries around the globe. Thanks to those who came by our booth to get a free face scan in 3D. Our team scanned 650 attendees at the exhibition. We had a great time and we hope everyone who attended Siggraph did as well!
Here's a quick video of our booth at Siggraph. Attendees line up to get their free face scan!
Joe Nalven from The San Diego Union-Tribune blogged about his experience at our booth. Please read the full blog post: Scan My Face: 3D Artistry

What technology was used to scan faces in 3D at the show?
We featured a multi-scanner setup of the HDI Advance R3 3D Scanning System in our booth. Our 3D scanning technology is a fantastic solution for 3D modelers and visual effects studios who are looking to accelerate their content creation pipeline. The scanner is not only limited to face scanning. The scanner creates an accurate 3D scan from real world objects in less than 0.88 seconds.

We also launched our latest development, KScan3D, on the first day of the Siggraph exhibition on August 7. Attendees at the show experienced 3D scanning using KScan3D with the Kinect for the first time. Here's a video demonstration of KScan3D at Siggraph:
Thanks for the great response and feedback! We look forward to return for next year's Siggraph in Anaheim!
